ABOUT US
About Event
IKC is an intercollegiate engineering design competition for undergraduate and graduate engineering students. The object of the competition is to implement good engineering practices, design projects and their related research work. Each participating student will learn, innovate and gain the experience of team work, leadership and the technical skill. The students must function as a team to design, engineer, build, test, promote and compete with a vehicle considering the few sets of rules applied by organizing committee. The organization also aims to provide an opportunity for students to be recognized at a national level for Research and Development careers in automotive engineering . IKC is launched with the approach of introducing International standards of motorsport to young engineering talents who team up to build a machine which not only performs on track but also conquers accuracy in professional design aspects. The difficulty level in static and dynamic events is designed in a manner to challenge the system and the rider of the machine. The event provides platform to engineers to get special mentorship from professionals of Motorsport like Mr.Dhruv Mohite(VW Ameo Cup Champion 2018) & Mr.Mazdayar Vatcha(Multi-time national motorsport champion ) . To maintain the transparency level, Mylaps X2 Transponders will be used to get dynamic test timings on participant’s mobile.

Why we are India’s Biggest Karting Challenge
IKC have more participants than any other competition in India which results in heavy competition. Best teams of India call IKC as their
favourite karting event due its competition level, fast and tricky tracks, variety in participation category. IKC season 5 have 3 Categories ie. IC – 125cc, IC
– 150cc and 3.5KW Electric Category.
IKC conducts 3 days certified go-kart design and development workshop before virtual round where teams get detailed.
IKC is always concerned about safety of their participants and hence conduct racers only on certified tracks. Mohite’s
Racing Academy is one of the safest and international level track which organised Rotax Asia Max Championship.
IKC provide full freedom to teams for choosing any top speed. Teams are allowed to change their tire strategy in dynamic round which
allows them to use different combinations for different dynamic events. Teams are also allowed to change their gear ratio for different dynamic test.
The training program is arranged on track under the observation and guidance of highly experienced motorsport drivers so
that naive driver can clear every single concept of cornering and importance of race lines. The driver will get familiar with the track during this training
program which will in turn make each driver faster during the final race.
IKC is the first event in India to use Mylaps timing system for kart racing which helps our teams to get real-time race
statistics straight to their mobile screen. The timing system enhances transparency and also provide data to teams to improvement purpose.
Result System- Results of static events are evaluated and published on same day itself by experienced judging panel. Timings of dynamic events are
marked on each kart soon after their test to maintain transparency within all the teams. Race results are evaluated using timing system software for
more accuracy.
Participants can contact organising committee anytime using live chatting option available on website to clear their doubts. Teams can
also have direct telephonic conversations with the organisers for their query.
Every season, IKC invite experts from industry and motorsport to mentor our participants and help them improve technically
and personally. Experts from motorsport like Mr Mazdayar Vatcha, Mr Dhruv Mohite, Ms Mira Erda, Mr Arjun Khaire, and many other are invited to
guide our participants for future endeavours.
Every year, IKC hire more than 5 individuals and help more than 20 individuals to get placed in various
industry leading organizations. On-site placement drives are conducted where participants gets an opportunity to get selected in core industry.
